David Spencer

Having worked in radio since 1992, I have gained a reputation as an innovator and dynamic broadcast journalist, helping organisations transform newsrooms and launching several global podcasts. I have worked with organisations such as Reuters, BFBS and Wireless Group, as well as in the corporate sector with the likes of NorthStandard, Rio Tinto and the Nationwide Building Society. I have also developed a distinguished career as a lecturer in journalism, podcasting and radio, having worked with the University of Westminster since 2012 and guest lectured at numerous universities across the UK. I also teach at City Lit in London, helping people gain new skills and expertise in podcasting and radio. My teaching is described as 'inspiring' and 'passionate' with people always learning and improving their skills when they work with me.

As a media trainer, I have worked with the British Army and the UK Foreign Office, as well as dozens of smaller organisations, helping them to communicate key messages to the media.

My mentoring services offer help to others to help them progress their careers in the way I have been fortunate to. In the last few years I have helped dozens of people advance their career, with clients working at international TV broadcasters, the BBC, across journalism and many now in senior positions across the industry.
